Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance. ~ Eckhart Tolle
It is likely that most of us can admit that this year has brought its share of challenges. Whether through sickness, job loss, feeling lonely or struggling through the changes brought on by COVID-19, it’s been a tough season. We’ve all been in it together but 2020 has definitely brought many highs and lows. We’ve been fortunate enough to still be open to welcome guests here at our inn on Nantucket and we are continuing to look ahead to brighter days. here is something about the holiday season that brings some cheer and lifts our spirits! While travel and vacationing may look a little different this year, we still encourage you to come enjoy some Nantucket holiday spirit. The beloved annual Christmas Stroll has been reimagined as Nantucket Noel and we’d love to host you for a relaxing stay.
According to Harvard Health Publishing, research shows that “gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.” Let’s all practice some gratitude and be thankful that despite a difficult year, we can still enjoy some Christmas on Nantucket!
The Nantucket Noel starts November 27th and will continue through New Year’s Eve! From tree lightings to shopping deals, there will be something for everyone during Nantucket Noel! Island businesses and restaurants will be opening their doors for you to shop and dine and enjoy the festive spirit of our quaint town. To encourage shopping local here in Nantucket, the popular Holiday Red Ticket Program returns! Participating businesses will be giving one red ticket for every $25 spent. Then, at 3pm on December 24th, 5 lucky winners of $1,000, and 1 extra-lucky winner of $5,000 will be chosen at random! The great news is that the drawing will be virtual and you do not need to be present to win! So, guests that are here with us for a quick getaway can still participate!
