Nantucket Hot List: New Must See Spots – Part 1

Updated April 2022. Fresh, exciting, new, creative, innovation, tradition, out of the box, passionate, colorful, dedicated, local, delicious…these are just a few of the words we could use to describe some of the hot and happening restaurants popping up around Nantucket. One of the reasons we love this blog is the fact that we can share with our guests – old and new – friends, and family the amazing places to check out when visiting with us. There are some amazing places so we are going to do a two-part series to tell you about them! We love to support our community and for guests new to the area, these restaurants are places where you will feel at home and be treated like family.

Bar Yoshi

21 Old South Wharf, Nantucket, MA 02554
(508) 228-1801

Bar Yoshi offers innovative Japanese cuisine. They are located at the historic Old South Wharf right on the waterfront. Their menu includes sushi, noodles, and dumplings as well as a raw bar. You can choose from sake, curated beers, or their wine list to pair with your meal.

The Beet

9 South Water St., Nantucket, MA 02554
(508) 680-1857

Next is The Beet, a restaurant that provides healthy food in a fun atmosphere. Owners, my Young and Felino Samson collaborated together to provide a place that reflects what they like — healthy food, fun, and travel. Felino is influenced by his Filipino heritage resulting in a blend of Latin + Asian cuisine. Good food. Good fun. How can you go wrong?

Sandbar at the Jetties

4 Bathing Beach Road, Nantucket, MA 02554
(508) 228-2279

Last but not least is Sandbar at the Jetties, which opens again in May for the season. The passion behind this restaurant belongs to Nick Nassington and George Kelly—two Nantucket natives with many years in the restaurant and bartending world. They wanted to provide a casual, family friendly atmosphere and serve out-of-this-world New England beach fare. There is also a raw bar, live music daily, and the occasional family-style clambakes. This is definitely a hopping place this summer.

There is no time like the present to plan your spring or summer Nantucket getaway – our easy online booking takes only minutes or you can contact us anytime for help in planning a memorable vacation.
