The distinctive charm, fascinating history and unique culture of Nantucket Island will be apparent once you land on its shores. Originally know as the whaling capital of the world during it's heyday of the 1830's and 40's, Nantucket has been named a National Historic District and has architecturally changed little since the 17th century, as seaside shops and old-fashioned lanterns still line its cobble-stoned streets.

Nearly half the island is protected conservation land and it offers pristine beaches for our visitors in all directions. Swim in the still, sparkling waters of Nantucket Sound to the north, or brave the mighty Atlantic along the island's south shore. Let the pounding surf, and clean, salty air restore you.
